Fall, 2000

Hello, Neighbors!

We were lucky Hurricane Gordon passed us by, but hurricane season isn’t over yet. Be prepared ahead of time! Make sure you’re stocked up – just in case – with water, non-perishable food that you can eat without cooking, flashlights and batteries, a battery operated radio, and a first aid kit. Listen to the TV or radio for the latest news on the path of the hurricane and possible evacuation news.

Annual Meeting

A lot of work goes into the preparations for the Annual Meeting, which will be held on Monday, November 13, at 7:00 pm in the new conference room on the second floor.

We hope you all remember where you put that draft copy of the proposed Rules & Regulations that you received last April. In October, the Board will host a workshop for all residents to discuss possible rule changes, and the Board will be available to answer your questions. These rule changes will be voted on at the Annual Meeting. The date of the workshop will be determined soon.

Also, you’ll soon be receiving nomination forms for next year’s Board of Directors. Are you interested? Is there someone you would like to nominate? It’s time to start thinking about it.

Keeping Fit

Good news! A new exercise bike has been installed in the exercise room. It’s a high tech bicycle that measures your heart rate and pulse. But please! If you don’t know how to program the computer, just pedal manually. Don’t push buttons randomly. Wait for the manual – it will be posted soon. And tennis players - the fence has been repaired.

Book Exchange

We’d like to set up an informal Book Exchange. Joe Giacomini has graciously volunteered to build a bookcase for our use, and the proposed location is in the Billiards Room.

Guest Apartments

The guest apartments get a lot of wear and tear, and some needed improvements have been made. The carpets were cleaned, new ceiling fans were installed and additional lights were added. Also, a big thank you to Sue Clark, Sharon Givens and Jo Warn for personally repainting the guest apartments with their own 6 hands!

Condo Living

There’s nobody here to put your stuff away for you. So, when you use a grocery cart to bring your groceries and packages upstairs, please DO NOT leave the cart in your gated courtyard, in the halls, in the elevators or in the lobbies. DO return the cart to the garage!

Management Notes

Welcome to Mike Small, our new representative from Rampart Properties. In an emergency situation you can contact Mike at 727-712-8989.

A little reminder

All garbage must be securely tied in garbage bags!
No loose or unwrapped garbage should be thrown down the chute!
