Summer, 2000

Hello, Neighbors!

We had a terrific poolside party on Sunday, June 4 and saw a lot of new faces. A big thank-you to Doris Mee and Sharon Givens who put a lot of work into coordinating the party, thanks to everyone who helped, and thanks to all for the delicious food. If you missed the party, try hard to come to the next one! It's a great way to meet your neighbors.

Rules & Regulations

When you live in your own home you're the boss. But when you live in a large condo like this, there have to be rules and regulations that apply to everyone, to keep things running smoothly. The Board put together the committees' suggestions, and mailed a draft of the proposed Rules & Regulations to all owners. These are the rules that we are going to have to live by on a daily basis for a long time, folks. It is very important that everyone take the time to read this report carefully now, before the rules are voted on and adopted. Now is the time to speak up!

Some of the rule changes will require amendments to the by-laws. The plan is to have a comprehensive discussion, and then the owners will vote on the issues at the Annual Meeting. To facilitate this there will be a workshop to discuss the rules, based on all comments which are received in writing. You will be notified by mail of this workshop. And remember, you can make yourself heard by submitting written comments, even if you cannot attend.

Garage Cleanup

We all received a letter from Ramparts about the garage cleanup. Phase 1 has been completed and all bikes that are inoperable (mainly because of flat tires) have been marked with a red tag. You need to fix it or get rid of it. All bikes that are not repaired will be removed. Are you away? Did you forget about your bike? Not sure it's okay? Call Rollie at 712-8989 to discuss it. For Phase 2, each bike will be registered and assigned to a designated and numbered space in a bike rack. There will be a bike rack for every bike. And Phase 3? Well, sorry, but get ready because anything that is not a car cannot be stored in the garage against the wall. No boats, no cabinets, no shelves, no beach chairs - nothing.

Car Wash

Car Wash hours are 9 to 5, Monday through Saturday. An auto-shutoff is being installed so the faucet will not operate outside of designated hours.

Staff Notes

Karleen is back and our building is spiffy again. We owe a lot of appreciation and thanks to Karleen and Dan for their hard work, helping Sunwatch run so smoothly. Be sure to thank them for a job well done!

A little reminder

All garbage must be securely tied in garbage bags!
No loose or unwrapped garbage should be thrown down the chute!
