Spring, 2007 Things are going very smoothly in the building, and the Board of Directors has been busy keeping the building in tip top shape. A new garage door has been ordered for the 670 east door. The Board is in the process of obtaining bids for a new coating on the outside walkway floors, and we will keep you updated as things progress. The floors protect the structure of the building and must be maintained on a regular schedule. The new flooring will be more attractive and easier to keep clean. We hope to get this started in November. Finally, if you have furniture in good condition that you plan to replace, contact Jo Warn, as the building might be interested in buying your old furniture for use in the guest units. Building Security Security is up to you. We all have to be aware of security. Is there someone you don't know at the front door? Don't let them in. Remember, you can always view a complete set of rules on the website. Hurricane Season The forecasters are predicting an active hurricane season. I hope they're wrong but we have to be prepared just in case. If you're a Sunwatch snowbird, remember to shut off your water and bring your balcony furniture indoors before you leave. If you're going to stick around, bring in your supplies of water, nonperishable food, batteries, and so on. Get your valuable possessions and paperwork together in case you have to evacuate.
