Annual Meeting

The notice of the Annual Meeting has been mailed to the owners, along with a copy of the proposed 2007 Budget. The meeting will be held in the meeting room at Sunwatch on Thursday, December 7 at 6:30 pm. If you cannot attend the meeting, and you have not yet returned your proxy, please fax it NOW to Resource Property Management at 727-796-5011.

Included in the mailing is an Emergency Update Form. Please fill out the form and return it, so that the Board of Directors and the management company can contact you in case of an emergency.

Holiday Lights Contest

Can we keep our winning streak going?

It's almost time for the annual Island Way Holiday Lights contest. We have won first place for condominiums three times. Can we win again? Get your unit decorated with white icicle lights for the holidays. We need everyone's help to illuminate our building. The annual Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, December 9, and it will be great to see our building festively lit up.

Building Security

Did you notice we have installed new security bars on the ground level openings into the garage? This will help prevent unauthorized entry to the garage.

Security is everyone's business. We all have to be aware of security. Is there someone you don't know at the door? Don't let them into the building. I know it doesn't seem friendly, but all visitors must phone upstairs and be admitted into the building by the host.

Rules and Reminders

  • If you are having any furniture, appliances, carpet, cabinets, etc. delivered, you MUST notify Laurie or John so they can pad the elevator or prepare whatever may be necessary. Remember YOUR delivery person is responsible for cleaning up. That is not Laurie's or John's responsibility.
The clean-up rule also applies to any work done in your unit. If you have construction work in progress, it is up to your contractor to haul away the trash.
  • Do not throw cartons down the garbage chute. They simply don't fit. Always break down cartons and leave them in the garage outside the dumpster.
  • Did your package come wrapped with shredded paper or peanut packings? Please bag it! Every week when the garbage man comes it's flying all over.
  • When you use a Sunwatch grocery cart, please return it where it belongs in the garage. Don't leave the cart just beyond the doors to the garage where someone is likely to walk right into it.
  • Please bring your towel and wipe down any equipment in the exercise room if it is wet when you are finished using it.

Congratulations!

It is against our policy to print personal news in the newsletter but we are making an exception this time to congratulate ourselves.

Congratulations to Betsy & Jeff Garfield on the marriage of their son Max.

Congratulations to Susie & Bob Thatcher on the birth of their granddaughter, Emily Lynn Thatcher.
