Fall, 2005

Hello, Neighbors!

Welcome back, snowbirds! You have been greeted by our magnificent new bridge, ready at long last. It's a slick ride so far. We'll be interested to see what happens in season. To those who haven't returned yet, here's a first look at the lovely new 670 lobby. If you're in 680, do stop in and take a look.

Many thanks to Jo Warn and the redecorating committee, Sharon Givens, Jody Keck, and Susie Thatcher for spending so much time and effort to make our lobby an attractive, inviting public space.

Annual Meeting

Congratulations to the new Board, and good luck. Our thanks to the people on the outgoing Board who volunteered their time to keep our building running.

The Annual Meeting and subsequent Board meeting went very smoothly. The new budget for 2006 was adopted. The last Reserve Study was done in 2002 and the Board voted to have it updated. The next meeting will be held in January and the date will be determined. Watch the bulletin board or the website for this information. Finally, here are a few other points that were discussed:

A Welcome Committee will be formed to develop a packet of materials to be given to new residents. It will include a copy of the Rules and Regulations of the building and other material.

Remember, if you wish to check on any rules, you can access a complete set of rules on the website. If you need a copy of the rules and do not have internet access, ask the Board in writing and a copy will be provided to you. Just drop your request in one of the suggestion boxes.

If there is a problem in the building or a problem with a neighbor, the first step to resolution is to submit your complaint in writing to the management company. If further intervention is required, contact the Board.

Holiday Lighting Contest

Sunwatchers, what do you think? Can we take a first place in the Annual Holiday Lighting Decorating Contest for a third year? Let's give it a try! Let's put up white icicle lights on all our balconies. Our building looks so lovely with the icicle lights on all the balconies. Join in and let's try for 100% participation this year.

Note that you need to get your lights up as soon as possible because judging this year is extra early on December 3.
