Spring, 2004

Hello, Neighbors!

Way to go, Sunwatchers! Our beautiful building won first prize in the Island Estates holiday decorations contest. Thanks to everyone who participated by putting up white icicle lights on their balconies, and thanks to the folks who volunteered their time and energy to decorate the lobby and the outside of the building so beautifully and brightly!

Building Maintenance

In January, the Board established a maintenance committee to study the building and determine what needs to be done. The committee developed an all-inclusive punchlist of 40 projects that will need to be done, including repairs to the fire alarm system, repairs to the pool lining, deck area and lights, garage doors, inside walls of the garage, and various rust problems, among other things. It's good for us to know that the Board is committed to keeping the building in tip-top shape.

Be a Good Neighbor

- Don't throw cardboard boxes down the garbage chute. Boxes must be broken down flat and deposited in the box area in the garage.

- Windchimes are not allowed on the balconies. This is covered by rule #9 concerning noise restrictions.

Condo Living

210 bikes are in the garage but only 19 have been registered so far! Is your bicycle one of the unknowns? Do you want to keep it? Here's what to do.

Contact Dan to register your bike and get a tag to place on the bicycle. All bikes not registered by the deadline of March 15 will be removed.

Pool Rules

The pool rules are all about safety and they are for your benefit. Some of the rules are dictated by the City of Clearwater, and others are pretty much common sense. The rules are posted on large signs in the pool area, and can also be read on the Sunwatch website.

With better weather just around the corner, here are a few reminders.
- Children 12 years or under are not permitted in spa. This is not a frivolous or arbitrary rule. It's the law. It is for the child's safety. It is dangerous for children to be in very hot water.
- No glass or breakable containers are permitted in pool and/or spa area.
- Pets are not permitted in pool area.
