Spring, 2003

Hello, Neighbors!

Congratulations to the Board on their re-election. Guys! We appreciate the many unpaid hours you put in on our behalf! The building is running very smoothly.

And congratulations to everybody! Thanks to all of you for so much cooperation in decorating our building for the holidays! We took first place for overall presentation for holiday decorations, and a certificate is on display in the bulletin board in the 670 lobby. This is our third year as an award winner. We hope for 100% participation next year. Let us know if you need help.

Condo Living

The party room is open during the day for any owner's use. Feel free to enjoy this amenity. But remember! If you use it, you must leave it clean! If you have drinks, please use coasters or napkins so you don't leave marks on the tables.

Good news!

The guest suites are not only a great convenience for your out of town guests, they are profitable moneymakers for Sunwatch. An analysis of the 2002 records shows that last year the guest units cost approximately $8800 to maintain, and generated income of just over $10,000.

Be considerate of others.

We cannot believe that in a lovely building like Sunwatch we must repeat ourselves time and again to tell pet owners to clean up after their pets. If your pet has an accident in any common area, you must go back immediately and clean it up. Don't leave your mess for others.
And remember, pets are never allowed in the pool area.

Fire Safety Tip

Put this newsletter down right now, walk out into the hall and locate the fire alarm pull box closest to your unit. You must know where this is before an emergency strikes. Remember, if you have a fire within your unit, even though your smoke detectors go off, it will not set off a general alarm. You must go out into the hall and pull the alarm.

Bike Check Time!

It must be spring. Many of the bikes in the garage aren't being used. We can tell because the tires are flat. We're running out of rack space again. So, board members will be walking through the garage and tagging all bikes that appear unused or abandoned, and they will be removed after 30 days. If you keep a bike in the garage, go down and see if it's tagged. If so, fix it up or give it away. If you plan to be out of town, leave a note on your bike and it will be safe.

Newsletter Delivery

We have had some comments from people that they are not receiving their newsletters in the mail. Newsletters are sent out three or four times a year via first class mail to your official mailing address. If you're not getting your newsletters, check with Susie Thatcher to verify your mailing address. Remember, you can read the newsletter, minutes and other news on our website at http://sunwatchers.com.
Need a Sunwatch phone list? Contact Susie Thatcher for your copy.

Bridge Group

The bridge group is meeting again every other week in the party room. Check the bulletin board for exact dates and times.

In an emergency – don’t take that elevator! Go into the nearest stairwell but – before you do – pull the lever on the red firebox located outside each stairwell.

NEVER DISCONNECT THE EMERGENCY SPEAKER SYSTEM IN YOUR UNIT!

Tampering with fire equipment is a felony.
