Fall, 2002

Hello, Neighbors!

It takes a lot of behind the scenes work to keep our building running smoothly and we appreciate the efforts of our many volunteers. A big thanks to the Flag Committee and all unit owners who contributed towards the purchase of the flag pole. And, next time you come home, take a fresh look at the beautiful landscaping in the front of the property. It has been done over, beautified and mulched, thanks to the continuing efforts of the Landscaping Committee and the new landscapers, who are working hard for us.

Condo Living

Condo living needs everybody’s cooperation. We all need to follow the rules and pitch in. Here are a few points to remember:

- If you see anyone on the property who doesn't belong here, ask them to leave. We don't have a paid security staff – every resident is responsible.
- You MUST clean up after your pet! For your convenience, there are special clearly marked receptacles at the pool area for dog waste.
- Parking is tight in the building, especially in the winter months. Don’t use anyone’s indoor parking space without permission!
- Be considerate of your neighbors – keep the noise levels down, especially early in the morning and in the evening and nighttime hours.
- Recycling is a good thing! Use the recycle bins in the garage for newspapers, glass, cans, and plastics.
- All sale and lease approvals must be approved by the Board.
- All correspondence to the Board must be signed and must include your name and unit number.

Annual Meeting

Plan to attend the annual meeting on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room. If you can’t attend, be sure to mail in your votes and your proxy.

The guest units have been spruced up and new tile has been installed in the entry hall, kitchen, bathroom, and high traffic areas. The units will be open for your viewing at the time of the annual meeting.

Have you ever mailed your assessment late? Gotten hit by some late fees? When you get the new coupon book for your 2003 condo maintenance fee , think about signing up for the automatic debit option from your bank account. No more late fees for you!

Holiday Lights

Do yall remember how beautiful our building looked last year? Let’s try to get 100% of the units lit this year! Our target is to put up balcony lights on the weekend after Thanksgiving. If you’re going to be out of town, please put your lights up early or allow someone else to access your unit.

It would be a good time to brighten up your balcony before installing the lights. Simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and then use Armorall or any car wax product for a beautiful shine.

Bridge Group

The bridge group will start to meet again in January. Check the bulletin board for dates and times.

In an emergency – don’t take that elevator! Go into the nearest stairwell but – before you do – pull the lever on the red firebox located outside each stairwell.

NEVER disconnect the emergency speaker system in your unit. Tampering with fire equipment is a felony.
