Fall, 2001

Hello, Neighbors!

The first Board of Directors meeting after the summer break was held on Monday, October 29. The building is running smoothly and quietly on the whole. You will be happy to know that there will be no increase in the 2002 maintenance fee. It will be the same as this year's fee.

Only three people applied for a position on the Board, so there is no need for an election. The three people who applied will automatically fill the seats. Lars Warn will be replacing Don Harrill, who has resigned from the Board because of time constraints.

Please plan to attend the Annual Meeting, to be held Wednesday, November 28, at 7:00 pm in the meeting room.

Halloween Party

Happy Halloween, everybody! We enjoyed a fun Halloween party on Saturday, October 27, in the party room. We had a terrific turnout, including Dracula and clowns and witches and princesses. Thanks to the entertainment committee who decorated the room and put in a lot of work organizing the party. Thanks to all the guests who brought tasty food!

Our Sunwatch parties are a lot of fun. If you haven't been able to attend, try to come to the next one. It's a nice relaxing way to socialize with your neighbors.

Holiday Decorations

Halloween is just over and we're thinking about the winter holidays already. We want to decorate the building the same way we did last year, and we hope to win a prize again too! We will meet in the 670 lobby on Thursday, November 29, at 9:00 am to decorate. We need guys to stand on ladders to put up lights outside. Also, we encourage everyone to put up strings of white/clear icicle lights on their balcony. If you need help installing the lights, please call Sharon Givens at 447-5991. We plan to turn the balcony lights on Thursday, Nov. 29, and we hope you will all join in!

Condo Living

We're all in this building together. It's yours and it's mine. This is a beautiful building and we all need to treat our common property with the same respect we treat our individual apartments. There have been some instances of vandalism in the building and this must stop. The Board will take action if they must, but it would be much better if we could simply behave ourselves as reasonable people. If you do see anyone mistreating the property, please report it to the Board.

Bridge Group

The bridge group will resume soon, now that our snowbirds are drifting back to town. If you are interested in playing, call Susie Thatcher at 298-0524, and she will work out the fall schedule.
