Island Walk Marina Association Board Meeting January 7, 2008 Board Meeting: Board Members present: Cliff Snedeker, Bob Poladian, Judy Warner Treasurer's report given by B. Poladian was approved. PH Peters of Holiday Isles Property Management, Inc gave a "Manager's Report." We asked PH to try to obtain email addresses of slip owners for ease of communication. We need to know when people move and sell their slips. Motion: Cliff moved that there be a 2 week notice regarding the termination/resignation of the marina maintenance person; seconded by Bob; all approved. Old Business: Catwalk replacement - Advanced Marine Construction has received the state permit issued to them at no cost for widening and extending of the catwalks. The material to be used is TREX. We need room for careful delivery and storage of TREX and lumber preferably at the north side of the 690 building. We need a meeting with the 690 bldg. Board president for approval. Motion: Cliff moved that we pay Ress Marine Service to inspect 1st catwalk to make sure AMC is meeting the specs. Not to exceed $500.00. Seconded by Bob; all approved. Piling caps - many have deteriorated and have broken. Bruce Hill is investigating through Ventel, the vendor. The unapproved dock box has been removed from the dock. New Business: Some dock boxes are aged and deteriorating. Currently the slip owner is responsible for repair or replacement. Cliff to find out if existing box can be ordered through the manufacturer. Cliff replaced faucet and hung new white plastic chain on Slip 12. Motion: Cliff moved that we replace all ropes to look like Slip 12 not to exceed $12 per slip; seconded by Bob; all approved. Fishing off the boardwalk and catwalks by non-owners has become a problem at IWMA. There is a need to adopt and communicate rules. Access to the Boardwalk and catwalks is for marina slip owners only. Motion: Cliff moved that access to the boardwalk is for pedestrian use only and limited to people in buildings # 660, 670, 680, & 690. No fishing from the boardwalk and fishing rights are granted to slip owners from their own catwalks. The Board to post signs which will permit usage of the marina to slip owners. Seconded by Bob; all approved PH Peters will order a "clean" copy of the marina bylaws and we will scan for owners' use as needed. Next Board meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2008 at 8:30AM in the Sunwatch party room.
